Sacred Reality

This blog was started by Mary. I am a Roman Catholic wife and mother, interested in applying my faith to every aspect of my life and to the world around me. I try not to be a "Sunday-only" Catholic. However, I am still working out my faith with fear and trembling.

Rosie, why aren't you "Wide Awake?"

Rosie, Rosie, Rosie! Now, I know I shouldn't like you anyways, but you did do a good job in the movie Wide Awake. Would that you could have thought through the role a little more and realize why women are truly called to be a nun and the beauty of being a "radical" Christian. A radical Christian lays down his or her life for another, not take a life (except in the case of self-defense or defending the innocent). How do we even know that war is wrong? Christianity. Otherwise, we would have no other moral code to go by that would have any trouble with war!
Is it wrong when someone is killed? Yes, it is. But why? Why do we have problems with taking someone's life for selfish reasons? Because of Christianity?
And, I must add, who takes the lives of 4,000 of its citizens each day? The United States of America, and it is called abortion. Every day in this country, completely helpless human beings are brought to torturous death because of their mother, father, extended family, and/or the so called doctor. Don't believe it is torturous? Visit the Priests for Life page about it, and then see for yourself. I warn you, the pictures are ghastly and horrifying. And if you don't find them so, then I suggest you find out what kind of radical nut you are and get some help!
